Well this was supposed to be the day before departure. Unfortunately gales have been queuing up in the Atlantic and sweeping through the Channel. We have not been for a local sail yet which is essential to test the rig and all the new equipment on board. Considering this and the weather forecast, it looks like our earliest possible leaving date will be Tuesday 23rd.

Despite the weather (and the fact that we did not actually depart the following day) we still had our celebratory 'departure dinner' with friends and family. The lack of an early morning departure meant we could celebrate a little longer! The Kovalam restaurant in Brightlingsea was the venue. Cuisine from Southern India. Absolutely magnificent.
