I shall be heading up into the Daft and Happy Hills beyond Llangadog come Sept.9, and then we're all invited to a bonzer tucker lunch in Brecon on Sunday 10th to celebrate Margaret's birthday. Will you be back by then? Or, sailing down the banks of the River Tyne, will you encounter Geordie from The Alkenbar, still mumbling about his Ford Capri, and still wearing the same pair of socks, and decide to join him on a search for Danny MacAlinden's daughter?
Meantime, you must be quite the Jolly Sailor by now.
Much nicer than that bus ride to Bangui, I'm sure, and I 'spect that your expertise in the handling of steam locomotives in stormy weather has come in most handy, oh yes. Pity you didn't get to go-about old Queen Liz while she was up in the Hebrides.
