We managed to miss Alderney. Conditions improved so much that we decided to keep going and enjoy an easier passage up the Channel, taking advantage of winds from the North West. The last 24hrs of sailing have been tremendous - 7.5kts boat speed for most of it. We are about 4 nautical miles south of Start Point (Devon) as I write this and are on our non-stop way from Boulogne to the Isles of Scilly.
